Eriocaulon Ratnagiricum
Eriocaulon Ratnagiricum
Eriocaulon Ratnagiricum is an endangered aquatic species originating from India. Its unique look, small size, and ability to maintain its porcupine form for long term make this an attractive plant for the aquarium hobby. Its size is ideal for smaller tanks, with a mature size of about 2 and a half inches. As it flowers less often than other Eriocaulons underwater, it creates a visually striking addition to any aquascape.
Eriocaulon Ratnagiricum is a unique plant with impressive growth capabilities. It is fast-growing and resilient to conditions it needs to thrive, with minimal effort from the gardener. It prefers ammonia-rich aquasoils and acidic substrates for optimal growth, and needs higher light and CO2 levels than other aquarium plants. To make the most of its short stature, ensure that it is not shaded by other plants and make sure the flow and CO2 reach the substrate zone. Be mindful of the KH levels, as it is sensitive and grows best with low alkalinity water (<3dKH).
